  • KS 3375

I finally tried out Kwik Sew 3375 which is a onesie with attached skirt. I liked the leg binding treatment but don't prefer the top part so I will be substituting another pattern for the top next time. I quickly made up a matching dress for Christina with the scraps using half another KS pattern and half my own creation.

  • Fun project

My husband and his bro used to work at this company called United Consulting and they both have the polo shirts with their logo. Dave refuses to wear polo shirts so instead of just giving this one to his brother I decided to have a little fun and miniaturize it into a matching polo shirt for his almost 5 year old son. I ripped out the sleeve cuff seams and the collar, and carefully ripped out the pocket, cut the front so that the placket remained in place and the logo was showing, and then used a Kwik Sew pattern to cut the remaining fabric of the shirt into a back, sleeves and collar facing. Then I put it all together and voila - a 5T version of the shirt. I know it's silly but I really had fun doing it.

  • What I've been up to lately

I made the skirts and tops of the older girls. My sister Beccah actually hand painted Christina's onesie but I made the skirt. (love the sock combo, right?)

The skirts are a modified Kwik Sew (made it longer) and the tops are also modified Kwik Sew.

Jireh has not wanted to be photographed lately!!
The pattern I used was a simplicity that I added 10 inches in length to and also a ruffled sleeve.
